Lia Block, the first ever female Group E driver, has made a major statement of her own on the Nitrocross track. Racing runs in Lia's blood, she is the daughter of late motorsports legen Ken Block. She competed in her first rally race at just 11 years old. After competing in side-by-sides and Sierra cars in 2022-23, Lia stepped into the NEXT class for the 2024-25. Now, she's taking the jump to Group E and making history while doing so.
Lia's skill set translates to other disciplines as well. At the Oregon Trail rally in May 2023, Lia won in her class, finishing just off the overall podium in fourth place, and is a threat for the national championship for the ARA open class two-wheel drive.
Away from rallycross and rally, Lia made her Extreme E debut in June 2023. She also participated in the prestigious Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, where she drove her father’s last race car. Motor Trend called her, “the hero” of the event. Lia also thrived in karting, where she raced for three years, and the Park City, UT native has also driven in the Lucas Oil Off-Road series.
