NITROCROSS READY TO TAKE FLIGHT IN LAS VEGAS

Premier Motorsport Championship Event Coming to Sky-Touching New Track Just Off The Strip, March 1-2, 2024

(Los Angeles, CA / Thursday, October 19, 2023) Today Nitrocross, a new revolution in motorsport created by global icon Travis Pastrana, announced Las Vegas as the home for its marquee season finale. The dynamic racing property - where elite drivers battle in cutting-edge race cars on epic, groundbreaking tracks – will crown its champions under the lights of The Las Vegas Strip, coming March 1-2, 2024.

Nitrocross is currently building an expansive all-new facility to host its series finale. The self-contained footprint will be located off Koval Lane, neighboring Formula 1’s Paddock building. Its track, designed in collaboration with Pastrana, will double-down on Nitrocross’ innovative designs, which feature big jumps, banked corners and steep berms, all set on a varied surface incorporating pavement and the series’ awesome 130’ gap jump.

The purpose-built course will put a star-studded driver roster to the test, including Pastrana along with defending champion Robin Larsson, European rallycross winner Andreas Bakkerud, rising stars Lia Block (daughter of the late Ken Block) and Fraser McConnell and many more. They will pilot a variety of high-performance vehicles, headlined by the visonary car competing in Nitrocross’ top class, Group E, the fastest electric vehicle in racing.

Attendees will get to take in the huge jumps, tight drifts and close passes, since every seat in the house will have a full view of the action.

The brain trust behind Nitrocross has strong ties to the Entertainment Capital of the World. Most spectacularly, in 2018 Pastrana paid tribute to stunt legend Evel Knievel, recreating three of his most famous jumps in front of a national live television audience (for cable’s most-watched special of the year), as well as more than 25,000 people watching in person.

Also, last summer Nitrocross’ parent company, Thrill One Sports & Entertainment, was acquired by an investment group led by Las Vegas-based Fiume Capital.

Pastrana said, “This season has been the start of something truly amazing as we take Nitrocross to the next level, and I’m so excited to put an exclamation mark on it in Las Vegas. After feeling the incredlble energy from all the fans who lined The Strip as we honored Evel Knievel, there is no better place to send it. And, while without a doubt it’s a global entertainment capital, this city is also passionate about motorsports, hosting huge races by F1, NASCAR, the Mint 400, and more. As we grow Nitrocross with amazing partners like the Fertitta brothers at Fiume and Dana White, I look forward to what we can build here.”

Nitrocross General Manager Chip Pankow added, “With Nitrocross, we are developing an all-new motorsport, one that drives innovation, elevates performance and is wall-to-wall entertainment from start to finish. We’re here to show fans the incredible performance from our 1,000+ hp electric cars on a track that is unlike anything they’ve seen before. Las Vegas is all about having a great time and is the perfect venue for our 2023-24 season finale.”

Electrifying Performance:

Group E drivers battle behind the wheel of the FC1-X, the fastest electric vehicle in motorsport. This revolutionary monster is capable of generating the equivalent of 1,070 hp to accelerate 0-60 mph in just 1.4 seconds - faster off the line than an F1 car. Top Gear calls the FC1-X, “absolutely wild,” adding, “If this is the future of electric motorsport, sign us up.”

Leading drivers from across the globe have raved about Nitrocross and Group E, including stars from NASCAR (Chase Elliott, Kyle Busch, Austin Cindric), Formula One (Jenson Button) and more. INDYCAR veteran Conor Daly recently competed in Nitrocross’ opening 2023-24 round and said afterward, “I’ve never really seen anything like it. This track is crazy, and the jumps are amazing.”

Abundance of Full-Throttle Thrills:

Nitrocross offers thrill-loving racing enthusiasts much more high adrenaline excitement beyond the electrifying action of Group E. A younger generation is stepping up to the big stage in NEXT, Nitrocross’ developmental class. Look out as well for rough-and-ready Side-By-Sides with a star-studded field including Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone of UFC fame. These fan-favorite vehicles are high-performance UTV’s rocketed by 1,000 cc engines, and with ample suspension travel to take all of the punishment that Ntrocross’ challenging tracks can dish out.

Championship Stakes:

Nitrocross 2023-24 season includes 10 rounds set at venues across North America. Each round is streamed live and for free across the globe on Rumble Sports, with an immersive production featuring incredible first-person view drone coverage that puts viewers at the heart of the action. Rumble Sports is the leading platform for action sports live-streaming.

Festival Event:

Nitrocross’ new Las Vegas HQ will also offer an expanded Club Nitro hospitality center for fans seeking an elevated race experience. This VIP section – the biggest on the Nitrocross season calendar – will feature a private trackside viewing location, an exclusive Club Nitro area and other premium amenities.

Nitrocross’ open paddock is also getting supersized for its new Las Vegas home. This unqiue layout will offer an unprecedented immersive atmosphere where fans have the opportunity to meet their favorite drivers and get a behind-the-scenes look at their vehicles.

Attendees can also enjoy a full festival experience with plenty of entertainment to enjoy off the track, starting with Nitro Circus freestyle motocross shows and live music, along with an extensive activation space that will have a gaming zone, a concession area featuring a wide variety of food trucks, an electric RC installation, and much more.

Originally created by Pastrana with the celebrated limit-pushers of Nitro Circus, Nitrocross began as a standalone event in 2018 and 2019. Coming out of the pandemic, Nitrocross relaunched as a series in 2021 before expanding again in 2022-23 with the debut of Group E and its revolutionary FC1-X vehicle.
