Travis Pastrana Pays Tribute to Ken Block with Special Livery

Special Livery Ken Block

Travis Pastrana and Vermont SportsCar will pay tribute to the late Ken Block at this weekend's Nitro Rallycross event at GP3R with a special livery on Pastrana's FC1-X race car.

Pastrana's #199 car will sport a look inspired by Block's first-ever rally car from 2005.

“Ken Block's first-ever car livery was snow-camo with gold DC logos, which ran on his Subaru STI rally car for the 2005 season and the modified road car he used in the Gumball 3000,” Vermont SportsCar said in a social media post unveiling the car. “One of our favorite photo shoots were those two cars in front of a Vermont maple syrup sugar shack. That livery was the start of something special and helped set in motion a motorsports career that would change automotive culture and impact so many people.

“We wanted to pay tribute to Ken in a meaningful way, so ahead of this weekend’s Nitro RX event in Quebec we've wrapped Travis Pastrana’s Group E car in that now iconic snow-camo to celebrate Ken and all that he accomplished.

“Rally in Paradise, Ken.”

Block, who passed away earlier this month following a snowmobile accident, competed in the first two Nitro Rallycross events in 2018 and '19, claiming a best finish of sixth in the latter, dropping out of a certain podium spot after sustaining a puncture in the final.

Prior to Nitro Rallycross' founding, Block was a mainstay in previous US-based rallycross series in the early 2010s where he won six Global Rallycross rounds and took podiums in Americas Rallycross.

He was also a long time competitor in stage rallying, winning 23 rallies in the US and contesting 24 World Rally Championship rounds.
